Sept. 25, Excelsior Springs. “Sample some of the finest craft beers Excelsior Springs has to offer at more than 21 participating businesses. Sip an assortment of brews as you browse boutiques, enjoy eateries and admire artwork at local galleries.”
Sept. 24-26, Columbia. “Enjoy live music, art and delicious barbecue at this one-of-a-kind festival. This year’s lineup of artists cover a multitude of genres: roots, blues, bluegrass, country, folk, rock, gospel and soul.”
Oct. 9, Frohna. “Watch demonstrations of skills and tasks from the 1800s to catch a glimpse of what life was like in the earliest days of Missouri’s statehood. Sample German foods and fresh baked goods made in an outdoor brick oven and finish off your day with a horse and buggy ride.”
Oct. 16, Ste. Genevieve. “Hunt down a werewolf with the “local militia” to rid the village of the prowling beast at this family-friendly event. Autumn Colors Throughout the State
Fall color in the state of Missouri is gorgeous! People travel for miles to visit The Show Me State and take scenic photos of the beautiful leaves changing colors. Because Missouri has so many different kinds of trees, bushes, vines, and foliage, the fall color lasts in our state for a month to a month and a half. The leaves start changing in mid-September (right now!) and stay bright and beautiful through the end of October. If you are looking to travel to the state during peak color, aim for mid-October.
