The Hermann Wine Trail is a group of seven, family owned wineries located along the Missouri River in central Missouri. They include the Adam Puchta Winery, Bias Winery, Dierberg Star Lane, Hermannhof Winery, OakGlenn Vineyards, Röbller Vineyard, and Stone Hill Winery.

The Hermann Wine Trail takes you from country farm settings to majestic wine cellars of the oldest family owned winery in the United States. Traveling along Missouri's Hermann Wine Trail is a great way to experience the area's rich history and variety of wine styles.

Special Wine Trail Events

The wine trail is open year-round, offering daily wine tastings. Even better, the trail hosts a variety of special events throughout the year.

  • The Chocolate Wine Trail event occurs the third weekend of February.
  • The Wild Bacon Wine Trail event is held the first weekend of May.
  • The Berries & BarBQ Wine Trail event is scheduled for the last full weekend of July.
  • The upcoming Holiday Fare Wine Trail will occur on the third weekend of November
  • The Say Cheese Wine Trail event is set for the second weekend of December.

To Participate in the Holiday Trail

To participate, purchase your ticket in advance at the wine trail website. On the day of the event, simply go to any one of the 7 participating wineries, show your ticket, and collect your souvenir wine glass. Thereafter you may visit as many of the other wineries you wish in any order you wish. Be sure to have your ticket and wine glass at each stop, however.

At your last stop on the trail, be sure to drop off your ticket so you can participate in the drawing. Winners receive a night’s stay at a Hermann Missouri B&B and a $30 gift certificate from each winery! WOW!

Come To The 2018 Washington Town and Country Fair!

Washington Town and Country Fair 2018Come to Washington, MO and celebrate at the 89th annual Washington Town and Country Fair, August 1st through the 5th, 2018!

The annual Washington Town and Country Fair is the second largest fair in Missouri. It's also considered to be one of the very best. This year's fair is no exception. There will be 9 concerts on the Pepsi Main Stage and 5 nights of intense excitement in the Radio Comm Motorsports Arena.

Washington Town and Country Fair features many of the classic, country fair attractions. There's a Fair Parade, Livestock Shows, Pie Eating Contests, and the crowning of the Fair Queen. The fair also includes a host of more modern exhibitions. Chainsaw Carving, Stadium Motocross, and a Farm Mechanics show.

It wouldn't be a fair without contests. The Washington Town and Country Fair features over 25 different ones! Come compete in - or just spectate at - the Pig Chase, the Turtle Race, Hot Wing Eating, Edible Bug Making Contest, and many others. It's contests galore!

This year's artists on the Pepsi Main Stage include Josh Wilson, Walker Hayes, Chris Knight, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, Whiskey Myers, Jake Owen, and Sawyer Brown! Experience Scott Joplin International Ragtime Festival 2018

Scott Joplin International Ragtime Festival 2018Come experience the 2018 Scott Joplin International Ragtime Festival! This 4-day musical celebration of the famed Ragtime composer includes both free and paid concerts, symposiums, and special events. The festival is scheduled for May 30th through June 2nd, 2018 in downtown Sedalia, Missouri.

Ragtime enthusiasts likely already know that Scott Joplin wrote his most famous composition - The Maple Leaf Rag - in Sedalia. Consequently, there could hardly be a more appropriate venue for the Scott Joplin International Ragtime Festival.

The annual festival brings fans and performers to Sedalia from around the globe and this year is bound to be no exception. Music is the main focus, with a variety of free and ticketed concerts in and out of doors all festival-long. Internationally renowned musicians Richard Dowling, Bill Edwards, Jeff Barnhart, Evan Arntzen, Danny Coots, Marty Eggers, Matt Tolentino, Steve Pikal, Virginia Techenor, The Rhythmia, and many others are scheduled to perform.

Live concerts will celebrate music from the “Cradle of Ragtime," the Missouri Valley. Beyond Joplin, the festival will also highlight the works of James Scott, Brun Campbell, Charles Johnson, John William “Blind” Boone, and others.

There will be free concerts at both Gazebo Park and Stark Pavillion throughout the day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. After Hours at the Best Western will see professional and amateur musicians getting together to share music and laughs.

The Scott Joplin International Ragtime Festival is more than performances, however. Special events include a parade, a “Toast to Ragtime” bus tour, a series of Symposia, ‘live’ silent films, a Japanese Tea Ceremony, pub crawl, and tons more!
